Brass Threaded Pipe Fittings for OEMs and Distributors
Elbows, Tees, Nipples, Couplings, Unions and Adaptors
Cable Glands India supplies brass threaded pipe fittings for OEM assemblies, equipment manufacturers, industrial distributors and maintenance buyers. Our range covers straight connectors, direction-changing fittings, branch connections, reducers and end closures, with male, female and mixed-thread configurations to suit the approved component specification.
Discuss standard-pattern or drawing-based requirements for water-handling equipment, compressed-air lines, pneumatic assemblies, instrumentation connections and compatible industrial fluid systems. Suitability depends on the brass grade, thread design, sealing method, pressure, temperature and medium. The product image illustrates different fitting forms; it does not establish a common size or pressure rating for every item.
Types of Brass Threaded Pipe Fittings
- Brass hex nipples and reducing nipples: male-to-male connections for joining female-threaded components, including equal and unequal thread sizes.
- Brass elbows: 90-degree and other specified bends for changes in line direction, in female/female, male/female or male/male configurations.
- Brass tees and crosses: three-way and four-way branching connections for distribution points and compact assemblies.
- Brass couplings and sockets: female-threaded straight connectors, available as equal or reducing patterns to the required drawing.
- Brass unions: detachable connections that help assemble or service a pipe run without rotating the complete line. Seat and sealing details must be specified.
- Brass reducing bushes: external-to-internal threaded reducers for adapting different nominal connection sizes.
- Brass male and female adapters: connectors between specified thread sizes, thread systems or component interfaces.
- Brass plugs and caps: male-threaded plugs and female-threaded caps for closing unused ports or pipe ends.
- Brass hose tails and barbed adapters: threaded-to-hose transitions selected against hose bore, retention method and operating conditions.
- Custom brass connectors: special lengths, hexagons, shoulders, bores and mounting features manufactured to an approved drawing.
Valve bodies and valve-ended connections may also be reviewed as separate enquiries. A valve shown in the image should not be treated as a declared stocked valve range or as evidence of a particular valve certification.
BSP and NPT Thread Options
Specify whether the connection is BSP parallel, BSP taper or NPT, together with nominal size, male/female arrangement and the required gauge acceptance. These thread systems must not be assumed interchangeable. A parallel-thread connection may need a separate face seal, washer or O-ring arrangement; tapered-thread assembly requires a suitable sealing method and controlled installation.
For an adapter with different ends, identify each end independently. For example, describe the inlet and outlet thread types, sizes and genders rather than requesting only a “half-inch brass adapter.” Include the mating interface drawing where sealing geometry is critical.
Applications and Selection
Typical enquiries include equipment plumbing connections, pneumatic manifolds, pump accessories, instrument lines, hose connections and general engineering assemblies. Select a fitting against the actual fluid and operating environment. Standard brass should not automatically be specified where dezincification resistance, low lead content, potable-water approval, gas approval or a special corrosion performance is required.
Pressure and temperature ratings are specific to the finished design and service conditions. There is no single rating covering all brass pipe fittings. Specify the required working conditions and any leak-test or proof-test acceptance criteria before ordering. Hose-tail assemblies also require a compatible hose and retention arrangement.
Manufacturing and Inspection
Depending on the component geometry and quantity, a brass fitting may be machined from bar, produced from a forged blank, or made using a suitable casting-and-machining route. The quotation confirms the manufacturing method. Thread cutting, boring, facing, hexagon features and sealing surfaces are reviewed around the approved drawing.
Inspection requirements can include thread gauging, dimensional checks, bore and sealing-face inspection, material analysis and specified leak or pressure tests. Request the necessary certificates, inspection reports, batch traceability and sampling plan with your enquiry; the contracted scope determines what is supplied.
Request a Brass Pipe Fittings Quotation
Send the fitting type, drawing or catalogue reference, thread details for both ends, nominal sizes, brass grade, finish, batch quantity and annual demand. Include the fluid, working pressure and temperature, sealing requirements and required approvals or tests. State packaging, marking and delivery requirements so the quotation covers the complete supply scope.
